Lead-Her Teacher orientation

Having recognised that teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of young girls, on 16th October, 2024 the LEAD_HER team engaged with 15 teachers from 5 primary schools namely Mombo, Litcheza, Namitembe, Thuchila and Khoroma in Chiradzulu district in an assessment that aimed at sparking urgent action to promote girls education in the face of climate change. The findings from the assessment revealed that teachers lack professional development courses on STEM and Climate change which is crucial for building necessary knowledge and skills. The assessment also revealed scarcity to resources and climate change education materials hindering the delivery of such topics in the targeted primary schools
